Strelitzia

Light:
Strelitzia prefers bright, indirect light, but it can also tolerate some direct sun. Avoid leaving in direct sun for extended periods of time as the leaves can become scorched. If your Strelitzia is not getting enough light, its leaves will start to yellow and it will become stunted.
Water:
Strelitzia likes to be kept evenly moist, but not soaking wet. Water your Strelitzia thoroughly, then allow the top two inches of soil to dry out before watering again. Be sure to empty any saucer under the pot to prevent root rot.
Soil:
Strelitzia  prefer a well-draining, consistently moist but not soggy soil mix. A commercial potting mix with perlite will work well. A DIY mix that will help your Strelitzia thrive would contain ½ coco coir and ½ perlite.
Temperature:
Strelitzia prefers temperatures between 60-75°F, but it can tolerate a wide range of temperatures. Protect your Strelitzia from cold drafts or sudden temperature changes.
Humidity:
Strelitzia prefers high humidity, but it can tolerate humidity levels as low as 50%. Consider using a humidifier or placing a pebble tray with water near your Strelitzia to increase humidity.
Fertilizer:
Strelitzia tend to be heavy feeders meaning they prefer to be fertilized often. They prefer a balanced fertilizer that has equal parts nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Fertilize once a week or use a slow release fertilizer once a month. Cut back on fertilizing once or twice in the winter months.
