NATIONAL ALLIANCE ON MENTAL ILLNESS

Who

NAMI's Who We Are

NAMI, is the largest grassroots mental health organization in the United States. They were founded in 1979 by a group of families who wanted to improve the treatment and care available to those with mental illness. Today, NAMI has over 600 local affiliates across the country, and they offer a wide range of resources and support to individuals and families affected by mental illness.

What

NAMI's What We Do

NAMI's mission is to provide education, support, and advocacy for people affected by mental illness. They offer a variety of programs and services, including support groups, education and training programs, and crisis intervention. They also work to raise awareness about mental health issues, fight stigma and discrimination, and advocate for policies that promote access to care and support for individuals with mental illness.

Why

At Mental Houseplants, we believe in supporting organizations that share our values and vision for a better world. NAMI's mission to improve the lives of those affected by mental illness and their vision of a world where mental health is treated equally to physical health resonates with us deeply.

Part of our own vision is to drive positive change against the stigma of mental health, and we believe that partnering with NAMI is a powerful way to achieve this goal. We admire NAMI's commitment to providing education, advocacy, and support for individuals and families affected by mental illness. By donating a portion of every sale to NAMI, we hope to contribute to their efforts and make a meaningful impact on mental health awareness and support.
